It’s such a pity that this small Ethiopian restaurant was such a disappointment. We had passed its food stall at the Sunday markets in the Vieux Port. The food looked delicious and exotic and we were encouraged to eat at the restaurant that evening by the stallholder. The professional website showed a variety of dishes at reasonable prices so we made a booking. From start to finish our experience was bad. It appeared that two women were working there. Even though we were the only ones in the restaurant (4 other diners had left after waiting without being served) we waited almost an hour for the food to arrive, the Ethiopian mixed plate and a spiced meat dish with salad for my friend. It arrived on one plate. The portions were tiny compared with images outside the restaurant and the meat was tough and inedible. The bill was eye watering for what we were served €43. Such a shame as we were so looking forward to trying something different.

Nous étions en vacances à Marseille lorsqu'une envie soudaine de manger éthiopien nous a prise. Le restaurant qu'on nous avait recommandé était fermé le lundi. Après une recherche rapide sur internet, nous avons trouvé le restaurant Fidèle qui était ouvert, idéalement situé et avait une bonne note. La décoration du restaurant est sympathique, le service est rapide et la nourriture est bonne ! Pour les palais sensibles, renseignez vous au préalable car certains plats peuvent être un peu piquants. La quantité nous a semblé petite comparé à nos précédentes expériences. Seul petit bémol, la CB n'est pas acceptée et ce n'est pas précisé de façon visible à l'entrée ou dans le restaurant. Un autre client et moi avons dû courir, le ventre plein à la fin du repas, pour trouver un distribiteur afin de régler en espèces. Pensez donc à retirer avant d'y aller !
