Restaurant JB en quelques mots...

Au centre de Bruxelles, un restaurant de famille qui a une cuisine raffinée depuis les années 1970. 

Près de la porte Louise, la maison au décor contemporain a une cuisine semi-ouverte avec une tradition pour des plats innovents et un respect pour les produits saisonier Belge et Français.

Freddy Van Ruyskensvelde travaille depuis ses 14 ans en cuisine.

Il apprend son métier au “Carlton”, “Restaurant des Beaux-Arts”, “Brussels Hotel”, “Villa Lorraine” et au “Pimm’s Grill”.

En 1979, il ouvre avec son frère le “Restaurant JB” et y travaille avec ses fils depuis 1987.

We booked this for a birthday dinner weeks ago. When we arrived, we were seated next to approximately 20 people who were clearly there for an event. We were the only table in the restaurant not part of the group. The group/event proceeded to give speeches, which created an uncomfortable environment for us. We received glances from members of the group if we attempted to carry on our own conversation. When we asked one of the servers what was happening, we were told the restaurant did not know. However, nothing was done to try and fix the situation. The restaurant turned off the house music and even held all their food until the speeches were over. Because none of them were served and we were the only other table, our meal was complete within an hour of arrival. It felt as if we were sitting in someone's private event. The restaurant should either have not let the group treat the restaurant as a private-hire without paying the fee, or they should have informed us prior to arrival so we could find alternative plans. It was incredibly unprofessional and one of the worst experiences we have had at a restaurant of this level. We were certain to inform our hotel concierge of the situation as well for future hotel guests.

Een huis van vertrouwen voor wie van traditionele keuken houdt. Een hapje vooraf om u tegen te zeggen en hoppescheuten met Mousseline en een perfect gepocheerd eitje. en al de rest navenant. En de sommelier die je de wijn aanraadt (per glas te krijgen) die perfect bij de gerechten past. Het werd en avond op hoog niveau
